Hi, I’m Billy. I’m in my early 30s and I am really tall, 6’7″ to be exact. Currently a full time factory worker of 12 hour swing shifts. I am an avid Jeeper and gamer. When I’m not doing those I also enjoy cooking, taking my dog on rides and looking into travel destinations. I fell in love with writing poetry years ago but got back into it after a bad break up. Poetry helps me channel my feelings and emotions, and creating what I hope others see as beautiful mini stories. I’m on my journey to find my forever love, my life partner, someone I want to build a life with. Hoping I can read these to her one day.

Dead Love by Elizabeth Siddal
Oh never weep for love that’s dead
Since love is seldom true
But changes his fashion from blue to red,
From brightest red to blue,
And love was born to an early death
And is so seldom true.
Then harbour no smile on your bonny face
To win the deepest sigh.
The fairest words on truest lips
Pass on and surely die,
And you will stand alone, my dear,
When wintry winds draw nigh. Sweet, never weep for what cannot be,
For this God has not given.
If the merest dream of love were true
Then, sweet, we should be in heaven,
And this is only earth, my dear,
Where true love is not given.
Poem by Greg Bryk
come to me
across a new geography
of love
in dreams
without touch
the moon rises
the tides
& my heart
in silent song
fills great spaces
with your name
