Upon the ocean you were a service man
Lips singing of adventures experienced
Stories told at every family occasion
Memories to be forever cherished
Stubborn as a mule you always were
But look you raised several strong
Now you are over us watching
Be proud Papaw you built a large family
Growing up I reveled at your skill in the workshop
Many hours spent woodworking in sheds and basements
You created many works of art and toys for me

Westerns and Gospel Sundays
These are my memories of you
